Allison Hatfield is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Houston office, focusing her practice on defending claims arising under the Defense Base Act (DBA), Longshore and Harbor Worker’s Compensation Act (LHWCA), and the War Hazards Compensation Act (WHCA).
Ms. Hatfield graduated from South Texas College of Law in December 2016 where she was involved with the Student Bar Association as a Freshman Senator. During her term, Ms. Hatfield helped 1L students ease their transition into law school, facilitated a mentorship program, and provided support for the Annual Food Drive, which raised over $25,000 for the Houston Food Bank. While attending law school, Ms. Hatfield interned at Catholic Charities Galveston-Houston and Aid to Victims of Domestic Violence, where she served hundreds of low-income Houstonians in immigration and family law matters. For her work with these non-profit organizations, Ms. Hatfield was awarded the Vinson and Elkins Public Service Award and honored as a Pro Bono Ambassador for Catholic Charities Galveston-Houston.
Ms. Hatfield graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in December 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Corporate Communications. Ms. Hatfield is a huge fan of collegiate athletics as she was a “Golden Girl” Feature Twirler with the Baylor University Golden Wave Band and had the opportunity to travel across the Big 12 Conference for football and basketball games. While at Baylor University, Ms. Hatfield was also involved in the Leadership Living-Learning Community, Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and Order of Omega Honor Society.
When she is not in the office, Ms. Hatfield enjoys cheering on the Baylor Bears and San Antonio Spurs, travelling, and teaching baton twirling. Ms. Hatfield was admitted to the Texas Bar in May 2017 and is licensed to practice law in Texas.
