Brad Soshea is a Partner in the Houston office, focusing his practice on the defense of liability claims, particularly Admiralty and Maritime claims brought under General Maritime law, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act (DBA) and the Jones Act.
A former official with the U.S. Department of Labor, Brad has extensive experience in Insurance Defense, Maritime Litigation and Workers’ Compensation. During his five-year tenure with the Department of Labor, Brad served as District Director at the Houston office of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Division of Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation. In this capacity, he was the administrator for the Longshore, Defense Base, and Non-appropriated Funds Instrumentalities Acts for the District covering most of the central United States.
In addition to handling litigation matters, Brad serves as a claims management consultant to the maritime and defense contractor industries and is a mediator for Maritime, DBA, and liability claims. He is licensed in Texas, Arizona and the District of Columbia. Brad is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible peer ranking.
