Jeff Peuler, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, graduated from LSU and thereafter, earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in 2005 with a concentration in maritime law. During law school in New Orleans, Mr. Peuler also worked in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, which allowed him to gain priceless inside knowledge of Louisiana courts at an early age.
Mr. Peuler represents a diverse group of clients with a heavy emphasis in maritime law and complex litigation. A representative list of his clients include offshore marine service contractors, shipbuilders, oil and gas companies, domestic and foreign insurance companies, construction and trucking companies, governmental entities, local corporations and individuals. His practice primarily focuses on litigation involving admiralty and maritime, insurance coverage and defense, property and general casualty, energy, mass tort / class actions, toxic tort and automobile liability. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana and litigates cases across South Louisiana from New Orleans to Lake Charles. He also has litigated in Texas, Kentucky and California.
Mr. Peuler served as President and legal advisor for the Port of New Orleans Mariners Club in 2014. He is a member of the Port of Houston Mariners Club, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Louisiana State and American Bar Associations and the Federal Bar Association, 5th Circuit. He also serves as a panelist for various events on behalf of the Professionalism Committee for the Louisiana State Bar Association.
